Hot Springs Tofino

Off of the coast of Tofino on Vancouver Island in BC. Hot Springs Cove is reached either by float plane or boat ride with many tour boats making the hour and a half long cruise daily. For anyone who has ever visited Tofino and gone to Hot Springs Cove it is a must.

Most people feel that the trip to the springs either by boat or plane provides a view that already makes the trip worth while. Once arriving on the dock there is a leisurely 20-30 minute walk along an earthy boardwalk trail through old forest to Hot Springs Cove. Hot Springs Cove can be enjoyed any time of year due to its amazing water temperature making it well worth the voyage in the coldest of temperatures. Hot Springs Cove has 3 separate pools ranging from hotter to cooler temperatures with an incredibly refreshing hot water waterfall in one of the pools. The view from the top pool offers a panoramic view of ocean and sky that will lead you to believe, if submerged in the refreshing water, that you are in Paradise.

The views on the way to the Cove either by air or by sea are sure to leave you speechless. The view along the outer side of Vargus and Flores Islands offers much to see from aquatic wildlife to breathtaking views of ocean and sky. Many boats will take the outer side up along the islands with swelling ocean waters and the inner side back with calmer seas providing more glorious views with a calmer feel.

Plane is by far the fastest route to Hot Springs Cove followed by a cruise boat and then for the adventurer at heart who really wants to enjoy a leisurely yet rigorous voyage the kayak or canoe would be the other alternative. Many adventurers, solitude-seekers and romantics who travel to Tofino will not find their trip complete without a voyage to Hot Springs Cove. Whether you are looking for a challenge, excitement, a stunning view or some relaxation Hot Springs Cove will meet any and all of those desires.

Some will take the tour out to Hot Springs Cove not to enjoy the hot springs themselves but to enjoy the scenic trip and 30 minute hike through the old forest to the hot springs. It is considered to be the perfect day trip from Tofino for the hike along the boardwalk trail through ancient trees and mossy canopies leading to a stunning view from the top of Hot Springs Cove of ocean and sky regardless of soaking in the springs or not.
